A gentle curve is not a character flaw
Plenty of Syracuse golfers trace a banana on wood and then buy a face that refuses to open. The miss looks like pace. The photograph is usually rotation the hardware would not permit.
A slight banana means the head leaves the copper tick on a curve, bottoms near the ball, and returns on a similar curve. Wrists hinge a little. The face wants to open a few degrees going back and square coming through. That is not a “release problem.” That is geometry asking for a toe that will drop.
A quiet face on this path is a locked door. You can muscle it square for a week on indoor carpet. June poa will collect the tax. We have a drawer of mild and mid drops for this family. We do not stock a “banana mallet” as a personality. We stock hang that agrees with the radius the chalk already drew.
Length can shrink the curve. A shorter shaft often feeds it. If you arrived with a long rail stick and a banana in the wrists, the stick is the argument, not the wrists. Read Length on Radius after the photographs, not before.
What the stations show
Twelve inches back already tells
If station II is already inside the rail ghost, you do not own a banana, you own wishful memory. If it sits on the banana ghost, stop arguing. Station IV past the ball should rhyme with II. A follow-through that suddenly rails is fatigue or a demo you picked up in the last five rolls. We throw those away.
